Tanpura (also known as Tamburi or Tambura) is a traditional instrument used to assist musicians and vocalists in tuning to specific pitches or Shrutis. An acoustic tanpura typically features four or five strings. This application meticulously replicates the manual tuning and playing of each pitch on an acoustic tanpura, making it suitable for practice sessions, live performances, yoga sessions, and more. Users can select from English, Hindustani, or Carnatic pitch labels and benefit from the unique Sa-Pa-Sa chorus feature designed to guide aspiring vocalists. The app enables users to adjust the pitch playback speed across three settings and even designate the first string as Madhyamam.
